About ReUse Systems

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to waste reduction and sustainable resource management through community-building.

Our Story

Inspired by Circular Economy

ReUse Systems, Inc. was founded with a vision inspired by the successful circular economy model of Finger Lakes ReUse (Ithaca, NY). We recognized the regional challenge of transitioning from a linear waste model to circular waste stream economies and set out to create community hubs that address this need.

Our approach focuses on high-volume waste streams including salvaged construction materials, appliances, furniture, and repairable electronics. By establishing retail redistribution centers, drop-off locations, repair and skill building workshops, workforce development programs, and strategic community partnerships we create multiple pathways to sustainability.
